Jasmin Tabatabai
Jasmin Tabatabai (Persian یاسمین طباطبائی [ jɔ smi ː ː ː n tæbɔ tæbɔ ː ː i ]; born June 8, 1967 in Tehran ) is an Iranian-German actress and musician.
Life
Tabatabai's father was Iranian, her mother is from Germany. They met in 1956 know at the Munich Oktoberfest. From 1958 to 1979, the family lived in Tehran, where Jasmin Tabatabai attended the German School. During the Islamic Revolution, the family left the country. The father returned after a year in Germany to Iran, where he died in 1986. Jasmin Tabatabai has both citizenships.
After graduation in 1986, Jasmin Tabatabai studied at the Academy of Music and Arts in Stuttgart music and drama.
Jasmin Tabatabai was married to the American musician Tico Zamora since 1 June 2003 and has been with him since 3 December 2002 daughter. Since summer 2006, Jasmin Tabatabai living apart from her husband. Since summer 2007, Tabatabai is in a relationship with actor Andreas Pietschmann, which they used to filming the TV series Rosa Roth - The Day will come first met. With Andreas Pietschmann she has her second daughter, who came on 5 July 2009 on the world. Together they live in Berlin- Pankow. On August 13, 2013 was their third child, a son.

She was discovered for the film shortly after completion of their training, played in 1992 starring in the Swiss feature film Children of the street, for which she received the award for Best Actress and the film festival of Amiens in France. In 1995, she stood for the Mediocren on the side of Jürgen Vogel for the first time in her native Germany before the camera. The breakthrough came with her 1997 role of Ausbrecherin Luna in Katja von Garnier's film music Bandits. Also in 1997, she dubbed the character Meg in Disney's Hercules ( speech and singing ) and 2007, the first-person narrator in the French film Persepolis Marjane Satrapi. Jasmin Tabatabai played in movies by Peter Stauch ( Help the Old, Pieces of my Heart ), Helmut Dietl ( Late Show ), Oskar Roehler ( Greedy, The Untouchables ), Xavier Koller ( Gripsholm ), Angelina Maccarone ( Unveiled ) and Ralf Huettner ( Mondscheintarif ). 2006 and 2007 they played at the Nibelungen Festival in Worms Kriemhild.
Besides, Senta Berger, Hannelore Elsner and other famous actresses she belonged in 2001 to the German synchronous ensemble of the award-winning French film 8 Women.
In June and November / December 2008, she was at the Berlin Theater am Kurfürstendamm in a free interpretation of the play Three Sisters with Katja Riemann, Nico Krebitz, Frank Voigtmann and other on stage.
Music
She also works as a composer and singer. In 1993 she founded the band Even Cowgirls Get The Blues, with whom she released three albums and from which they separated in 1997. In 2001, she founded the record label Polytrash. In the spring of 2002, she released her first solo album titled Only Love. Composed for the American feature film Iron Jawed Angels by Katja von Garnier and sang five songs together with her then husband, the American musician Tico Zamora. In 2003, she participated in a charity project for Red Nose Day for ProSieben and done the song miracle published, among others, Nena, Ben, Sasha, Udo Lindenberg, Joachim Witt and Helge Schneider. In 2005, she sang the song I am the night, which on the album Selma - was published wrapped in longing. 2007 she released her second solo album I Ran.
Others
Jasmin Tabatabai was on May 23, 2009 Member of the 13th federal assembly. She represented the state of Baden -Württemberg and was nominated by the parliamentary group of Alliance 90/The Greens.
