Jay Lethal
Jamar Shipman (born 21 April 1985), better known by his ring name Jay Lethal, is an American professional wrestler.
Career
Jersey All Pro Wrestling & Ring of Honor
Shipman made his debut on 26 October 2001 under the gimmick Jay Lethal at Jersey All Pro Wrestling ( JAPW ). Here he was in September 2002, the JAPW Television Title win. In February 2003, Shipman played his first match in Ring of Honor as Hydro, he was a member of Special K. Shipman occurred both in Jersey All Pro Wrestling as well as in Ring of Honor. In JAPW he could be 2004 JAPW Light Heavyweight Champion. Shipman yet occurred (eg PWU: Wrestle - Reality, New York Wrestling Connection, National Wrestling Alliance New York or Full Impact Pro) with other independent leagues. In New York Wrestling Connection, he was allowed to NYWC Light Heavyweight Title win. In July 2004, Shipman joined for the first time in Ring of Honor on as Jay Lethal. In 2005 he was allowed to win at Ring of Honor ROH Pure Title.
TNA & Independent
On 13 December 2005 Shipman played his first match at Total Nonstop Action Wrestling. In addition, Shipman continues occurred in several independent leagues. In October 2006, Shipman was allowed to Tag Team Champion with Azrieal be at Jersey All Pro Wrestling JAPW. In December 2006, he was allowed to win the BTW Heavyweight Champion title at Big Time Wrestling. In June 2007, he was allowed to receive for the first time TNA X - Division Champion. This allowed Shipman, after he had to give him back, win a second time in September 2007. On 10 February 2008, he was allowed to attain the title again, but had to leave him on 18 April to Petey Williams. 2007 and 2008 took Shipman as Black Machismo also at various tournaments in the Independent Wrestling Association in part. In December 2008, he shared with Consequences Creed TNA World Tag Team Championship. In February 2009, Shipman was the second time JAPW Heavyweight Champion. In September 2010, Shipman was allowed again the TNA X - Division Title win. In September, he lost the title to Amazing Red, was allowed the title, however, win 5 times a few days later. On 7 November 2010, he had the title to Robbie E leave before he could win him a month later for the sixth time. Shipman feuded 2010 against Ric Flair, AJ Styles, Kazarian, Robert Roode, James Storm, Matt Morgan and Douglas Williams.
On April 21, 2011 Shipman was fired from TNA.
In the Internet pay- per-view Best in the World on June 26, 2011, he made his comeback for Ring of Honor On 13 August 2011, he won by El Generico for the first time the ROH World Television Championship, but lost the title on 31 March 2012 showdown in the Sun to Roderick Strong.
