Jean-Guillaume Béatrix

Jean -Guillaume Beatrix ( born March 24, 1988 in Saint Priest ) is a French biathlete.

Jean -Guillaume Beatrix lives in Autrans and for training in Andrevière. The married student starts for U.S. Autrans and is coached by Thierry Dusserre. Since 2003 he runs biathlon and belongs since 2005 to the national team of France. Beatrix was very successful even as a junior athlete. Since 2005, he ran in the Junior European Cup Biathlon. His start he gave in Windischgarsten, where he was still 56th in the sprint. Already in his third race, a single Ridnaun, he finished second. The highlight of the season was the European Junior Championships in Langsdorf. Although Beatrix was in his single race not finished in the top 20, but won on the side of Alexis Boeuf, Arnaud Langel and Vincent Jay the bronze medal in the relay. Very successfully ran the Junior World Championships for the French in 2007 in Martell. Was he in the sprint yet 20, he ran in the pursuer to seventh place, winning both the individual behind Łukasz Szczurek and Pavel Magazeew the bronze medal, as well as in a relay race with Martin Fourcade and Yann Guigonnet. Even more successful was the Junior World Championships the following year in Ruhpolding. In individual Beatrix could win the title here, was eighth in the sprint, fourth in the pursuit and fifth in the relay. Five times he could be on the podium in the Junior European Cup but never won. The roller ski competitions of the Junior World Championships in the summer biathlon in Haute Maurienne, the Frenchman won bronze in the sprint, was sixth in the pursuit and won the silver medal of the season.

His first race in the Biathlon World Cup denied Beatrix late in the season 2007/ 08 at Holmenkollen in Oslo as Sprint -77. For the following season, the Frenchman appears regularly in the World Cup and was at one single in Östersund beginning of the season 87th in the following race, he was able to constantly improve and already won in his fourth race in 25th in a sprint race in Hochfilzen his first World Cup points. In Hochfilzen he could with a split with Simon Schempp fourth order reached in a sprint race in 2012 his first top- ten finish and his best result so far.

Also nationally Beatrix is successful. In 2009, he won the title with the mixed relay. At the French Championships in 2010 Beatrix won the title in the Super Sprint and Mixed Relay.
