Jean-Paul Martin du Gard

Jean -Paul Martin du Gard ( May 3, 1927 in Paris ) is a French former track and field athlete.

1950 at the European Championships in Brussels, the French team ran in the 4 x 400 - meter relay with René Leroux, Francis Schewetta, Jean -Paul Martin du Gard and Jacques Luni with 3:11,6 minutes French record, but was behind the British, Italians and Sweden only fourth.

At the 1952 Olympics in Helsinki occupied Jean -Pierre Goudeau, Robert Beard, Jacques dégats and Martin du Gard in 3:10,1 minutes sixth place.

1954 European Championships in Bern for dn Martin du Gard ran in the semifinals of the 400-meter run 48.2 seconds and just missed the final. The French relay in the occupation of Pierre Hair Hoff, dégats, Martin du Gard and Goudeau won with a new national record of 3:08,7 minutes gold by a narrow margin in front of the relay from the Federal Republic of Germany.

At the Olympic Games in Melbourne in 1956 Martin du Gard difference with 48.2 seconds in the quarter- final of the 400 meters. The relay in the occupation of the European Championships in 1954 failed to qualify for the finals themselves.
