Jean-Paul-Weg

The Jean -Paul Lane is a marked hiking trail and ausgeschildeter honor of the poet Jean Paul Friedrich Richter ( 1763-1825 ). The trail in the district of Upper Franconia was opened on 4 May 2002 with the section between Joditz and yard. On November 15, the path was added to Schwarzenbach / Saale and the route was opened to Wunsiedel on 17 October 2009. March 21, 2010 Bayreuth was reached. The trail leads through the landscapes and places that shaped Jean Paul's life and meant a lot to him. Along the way, accompany hikers boards with short extracts from the works and thoughts of the poet. The trail touches the Nature Parks Franconian Forest, the Fichtelgebirge and the Franconian Switzerland. The road was continued from 2012 to Sanspareil is 200 km long. It is a joint project of the districts of Hof, Wunsiedel, Bayreuth, the Fichtelgebirge Club and all that route on communities and cities. The main promoters are the tourism organizations of the district of Upper Franconia, Upper Franconia Foundation, the Cultural Fund Bavaria, the European Union and the Nuremberg Insurance Group.
