Jean Troillet
Jean Troillet ( born March 10, 1948 in Orsières ) is a Swiss mountaineer and mountain guide. He also holds Canadian citizenship. Troillet lives in La Fouly in the Valais.
Life
In 1969, he earned the recognition as a mountain guide.
He climbed ten of the 14 eight-thousanders, almost all in alpine style and without supplemental oxygen. In 1986, he rose by Erhard Loretan together the Hornbein Couloir on Mount Everest and reached the summit. In 1997, he was the first dissipation the north side of Mount Everest on a snowboard.

In 2009 he made a new route on the Matterhorn.
