Jerilderie Shire

Jerilderie is located in the south of the state in the region around the Murray River about 450 km west of the Australian capital Canberra and 320 km north of Melbourne. The area includes 31 districts and towns: Algudgerie, Argoon, Booroobanilly, Broome, Broughshane, Fairlie Grankge, Gala Vale, Jerliderie North, Kooringal, Logie Brae, Mabins Well, Mairjimmy, Neyliona, North Coree, North Yathong, Nyora, One North Oak, Pooginook Merino stud, Soth Coree, Stud Park North, Wononga, Woodpark, Woodside, Wunnamurra, Yamma, Yanko, Yooroobla and parts of Berrigan, Bundure, Finley and Jerilderie. The seat of the Shire Council is located in the town of Jerilderie in the center of the LGA, which has about 800 inhabitants.

Management

The Jerilderie Shire Council has nine members, who are elected by the residents of three wards ( three each from A, B and C. Ward). These three districts are set independently of the villages. From the circle of Councillor also the Mayor ( Mayor ) of the Council recruited.
