Jerker Lysell

Jerker Lysell (* April 27, 1989 in Bollnäs ) is a Swedish orienteers.

The sprint specialist Lysell launched in 2010 in Trondheim in his first World Championships of assets. He took it to 11th place in the sprint. In 2011 he celebrated his first World Cup success in knockout Sprint in Gothenburg. At the end of the 2011 season, he finished ninth in the overall World Cup. Lysells form curve increased in the following year, when he left his compatriot Jonas Leandersson and the Bulgarians Kiril Nikolov and at the same time with the Swiss Daniel Hubmann won the bronze medal in the sprint at the home European championships. He joined the World Cup 2012 from fifth. 2013 he took part in the World Games in the Colombian Cali and won the bronze medal here also, this time behind Matthias Kyburz from Switzerland and the Russian Andrei Khramov.

Lysell belongs to the club Rehn BK from his hometown Bollnäs.
