Jerry Williams (basketball)

Jerry Williams ( born January 2, 1979 in New Jersey ) is a retired American professional basketball player. Williams celebrated as a professional player his greatest successes in the British Basketball League (BBL ), where it was named " Most Valuable Player " ( MVP ) of the BBL season 2004. In 2006 he returned to his home in Jacksonville, Florida, where he in 2010 assistant coach of the " minor league " team Giants in the ABA after the end of his active career. His younger brother is former NFL player Rashean Mathis.

Career

Williams got an athletic scholarship at South Carolina State University in Orangeburg (South Carolina) for his achievements as American football and basketball player in high school. For the basketball team the Bulldogs no bets are recorded for him and Williams in 1999 moved to the University of the Cumberlands Williamsburg (Kentucky), whose high school teams Patriots are organized in the NAIA.
