Jezierzany, West Pomeranian Voivodeship

Jezierzany ( German New Hagen, Office - Schlawe / Pomerania ) is a village in the Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship and is part of the rural community Postomino ( Pustamin ) in a circle Sławno ( Schlawe ).

Geographical location

The small village of Jezierzany is located on the western shore of Jezioro Wicko ( Vietzker lake ), 20 kilometers north of the county town Sławno and 16 kilometers northeast of Darlowo ( Rügenwalde) on a side street that Sławno on Kanin ( Kannin ) with Jarosławiec ( Jershöft ) connects. Rail connection is via Darłowo.

The site is bounded by Naćmierz ( Natzmershagen ) ' and Jarosławiec in the West, from the Baltic Sea to the north, from Jezioro Wicko with Wicko Morskie ( Vietzkerstrand ) in the east and from Łącko ( Lanzig ) in the south.

North of the river flows Jezierzany Glowny Row ( Krautglawnitz ) in the Jezioro Wicko. It had this lake and the Jezioro Kopań ( Vitter See) connected in former times together, but was then sanded. During the reign of Frederick the Great, the Głównica ( Steinglawnitz ) instead was excavated, which connects the lake with the Baltic Sea. This resulted for the places Królewo ( Krolow ) and the now non-existent Wicko ( Vietzke ) new farmland, and the meadows of Jezierzany and Łącko were drained.

Place name

New Hagen, Office - in contrast to New Hagen, Abbey ( Jeżyczki ), also located in Schlawe - had earlier also the name Neuhausen.

History

About the beginnings of New Hagen there is no evidence. In 1602, Casimir IX is built. in Neuhausen a house to indulge his hobby of fishing. He died here in 1605. In 1784 New Hagen had 1 Vorwerk, 3 Landkossäten, 1 administrator and 1 Büdner skating. Only in the following centuries developed from the estate farm village. 1818, there were 98 people, the number rose to 1885 and amounted to 218 in 1939 204

Civil ceremony belonged to New Hagen 1945 Natzmershagen ( Naćmierz ), while official court Rügenwalde was responsible.

Russian troops occupied on March 9, 1945 the village. The inhabitants were evacuated to Freetz ( Wrześnica ). When they returned, the place was completely looted. On Remembrance Sunday 1945, the first expulsion of the German population, New Hagen came under Polish administration and is now considered a part of the gmina Jezierzany Postomino in powiat Slawienski the West Pomeranian Voivodeship ( to 1998 Voivodeship Stolp ).

The municipality of Hagen New belonged before 1945 as a dwelling place:

  • Aalkaten (Polish: Głównica ) on the river Steinglawnitz ( Głównica ), which connects the lake with the Baltic Vietzker consisting of 1 farm and 1 Guest economy, about 1 km north- west of the village along the road after Jershöft.

District New Hagen

New Hagen, Office - hence its name - was the seat of its jurisdiction, to the community Neuenhagen with neighboring communities Körlin ( Korlino ) Lanzig ( Łącko ) Natzmershagen ( Naćmierz ) Rützenhagen ( Rusinowo ) and Schoenberg ( Bylica ) was formed. He was i Pom district Schlawe. in the district of the Prussian province of Pomerania Pomerania.

Church

The pre-1945 predominantly Protestant population of New Hagen belonged to the parish Lanzig ( Łącko ) in the parish of Rügenwalde ( Darłowo ) in the ecclesiastical province of the Church of the Old Prussian Pomerania Union. Last German minister was Pastor Hans Gaedicke.

Since 1945, live in predominantly Catholic Jezierzany inhabitants. The reference by Łącko remained where now the Catholic parish is located. It belongs to the deanery Ustka ( Stolpmünde ) in the Diocese of Koszalin - Kolobrzeg of the Catholic Church in Poland. Protestant church members now serves the parish in Koszalin ( Koszalin ) in the Diocese of Pomerania - Greater Poland the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland.

School

In New Hagen was one room school before 1945. The schoolhouse was built on the site of an old building in 1911/12. Last German teacher was Emil Moldenhauer.
