Jill Henselwood

Gillian "Jill" Hensel Wood ( born 1 November 1962 in Ottawa, Canada ) is a Canadian show jumper.

Since 1989, she riding on Grand Prix level in 1991 was followed by her first Nations commitment to Canada.

Her first participation in an international championship had Jill Hensel Wood in 1994 at the World Equestrian Games in The Hague. There she performed with the Canadian Horse Colours and reached with the team in 7th place in the individual standings ranked 33rd. Twelve years later, she reached with Special Ed as part of the Canadian team again the seventh rank.

A year later she won at the Pan American Games 2007 Special Ed gold in the individual competition and silver in the team competition.

By May 2008, she won with Special Ed Grand Prix of the CSIO 5 * Madrid. Later in the year they won the team silver medal for Canada at the 2008 Summer Olympics with the horse Special Ed together with Eric Lamaze, Ian Millar and Mac Cone. In the individual competition, it reached Rank 27 In 2012 she is nominated for the Olympic Games.

She lives in Oxford Mills, Ontario.
