Jing Jun Hong

June Jing Hong (Chinese井 浚 泓, Pinyin Jǐng Junhong, born October 13, 1968 in Shanghai ) is a table tennis player and trainer from Singapore, the 2000 was fourth at the Olympic Games.

Career

Born in Shanghai in June Hong Jing played international routes to China and was established in 1990 at the Asian Cup runner-up in doubles with Liu Wei. In China it was considered number three. A little later, she emigrated to Singapore and joined since then internationally for that country. In April 1994 she was awarded the citizenship of Singapore. In 1992, she once again reached the final in doubles with Gao Dong Ping at the Asian Championships.

From 1993 to 2004 she was nominated for every eight world championships. Here they reached the quarter-finals in 2003 in a double with Li Jia Wei. Ten first places they achieved at the Commonwealth Games, sixteen at the South East Asian Championships.

1996, 2000 and 2004 she took part in the Olympic Games. Here they came in 2000 to fourth place in the individual when she lost in the semi-final against Chen Jing ( Taiwan).

1997, 1998 and 2001, she was athlete of the year in Singapore. Early 2000s played June Jing Hong for Dutch teams. With Henk ten Hoor DTK they won the European Cup in the 2001/ 02 season.

In the ITTF World Ranking Jing Hong was conducted in June 1993 to May 2003 mostly in the top 20. The end of 1993 it was listed on the highest 11th place.

After the end of their active careers Jing June Hong worked as a trainer ( Hong Jing June ) of the Women's National Team.

Private

June Jing Hong is married to the former national player from Singapore and table tennis coach Loy Soo Han, with whom she has a son.
