Jiyuan

Jiyuan (Ch :济源市; Pinyin: Jǐyuán Shì ) is a city in Henan province with 660,000 inhabitants ( end of 2003) on an area of 1,965 km ². Jiyuan was formerly a circle, which was part of Jiaozuo, and has been since 1997 a county-level city, which is directly under the provincial government - in contrast to all other independent cities Henan's that are part of the 17 prefecture-level cities.

The main industry of Jiyuan is the cultivation of wheat, peanuts, cotton, corn and other things.
