John Albert Vasa

John Albert Vasa (Polish January Olbracht Waza; * June 25, 1612 in Warsaw, Poland, † December 29, 1634 in Padua, Republic of Venice, today Italy) was a prince of Poland - Lithuania from the dynasty of Vasa and Prince-Bishop of Warmia and Krakow.

His parents were King Sigismund III. Wasa and Constanze of Austria. John II Casimir and Bishop Charles Ferdinand Vasa were his brothers.

John Albert was born on October 20, 1632 Prince-Bishop of Cracow, which he exercised with the Prince-Bishop of Warmia office, which he held from 1621 until his death. After he was created back in 1629 by Pope Urban VIII to Cardinal in pectore his cardinalate was published in 1633 and appointed a cardinal deacon Vasa of Santa Maria in Aquiro.

John Albert died in Padua, Italy, where his brother sent him Władysław IV Vasa diplomatic mission.

He is buried in the Cracow Cathedral.
