John Garcia ( born September 4, 1970 in San Manuel, Arizona) is an American rock singer, who became famous especially by Kyuss and with this band reached cult status.

Born in the desert of Arizona, San Manuel, who grew up in California, he addressed in his songs many times the size and heat of the desert.

Career

After the dissolution of Kyuss in 1995, he was involved in various projects - in 1997 he published " Amusing The Amazing " where he can be heard as lead singer of the band Slo Burn, but this was also the only publication.

After 1998 he was with the band Unida traveling in a LP ( Coping with the Urban Coyote - 1999) and a split LP was created. A second proper LP was already in production, but was never published because the industry did not seem to care for it. Also in 1998, founded bassist Dandy Brown with Garcia, the band Hermano, which in 2002 the first album " ... Only A Suggestion" published after the material already lying around for one to two years. At this time, the band had actually been living apart, was so surprised by the positive response that they recorded a second album. All samples and earlier communication should be passed over the Internet since the members live 3000 km away from each other. After then recording the album, it was released under the title " Dare I Say " in 2004.

Also in 2004, John Garcia won with The Crystal Method Dance Award for the song "Born Too Slow" ( of the soundtrack of Need for Speed: Underground is included ), where he was a vocal and at the award show also the same live sang. More entertaining projects and guest appearances were at or with Karma to Burn and 13

He announced in early 2010 that they wanted to go in the summer with a setlist of old Kyuss songs under the name " GARCIA Plays KYUSS " on a European tour, where he will play but the only member of the original cast live. The selection of songs fans have a say about his MySpace profile.

Since 2011, Garcia is with his former band Kyuss under the name Kyuss Lives! go and play in the summer at European festivals. The fact that Josh Homme does not join as a single project, prevents the occurrence under the old name.
