John Kosgei

John Kosgei (born 13 July 1973) is a former Kenyan obstacle and cross country skiers.

On September 1, 1996 he was the pacesetter Daniel Komen's world record in the 3,000 -meter run of 7:20,67 min.

At the World Cross Country Championships 1997 in Turin, he finished on the long haul 47th.

In 1998, he was fifth on the short distance at the Cross Country World Cup in Marrakech. About 3000 m steeplechase, he finished second at the Goodwill Games and won at the Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur.

In the Cross Country World Cup 1999 in Belfast, he was eighth on the short haul.
