Jorge Asís

Jorge Asís, actually Jorge Asís Cayetano Zain ' ( born March 3, 1946 in Avellaneda, Buenos Aires ) is an Argentine journalist and writer.

Asís comes from a family of Syrian immigrants. He started at the Universidad de Buenos Aires to study literature, among other things, but had to drop out due to financial problems without the completion of this study. Some years Asís worked in various occupations, including as a representative and peddlers.

After that, he was only a freelancer for the daily newspaper " Clarín ", and later in a permanent position. In the feature pages of this newspaper commenting under the pseudonym Oberdan Rocamora disrespectful including the politics of the day; in the style of these chronicles the events of the day were the " Aguafuertes " ( Roberto Arlt ) equalized.
