José María Gil-Robles

José María Gil- Robles y Gil -Delgado ( born June 17, 1935 in Madrid ) is a Spanish politician of the European Partido Popular. He was a member from 1997 to 1999 as the successor of Klaus Hänsch, President of the European Parliament. Gil- Robles is a member of the European People's Party.

His father was the politician José María Gil- Robles y Quiñones, his brother the lawyer and human rights activist Alvaro Gil- Robles.
