Joseph Ganda

Joseph Henry Ganda ( born March 7, 1932 in Serabu ) is a Sierra Leonean priest and retired Archbishop of Freetown.

Life

Joseph Henry Ganda received on 9 April 1961, the ordination. Paul VI. appointed him on 11 November 1970 Bishop of Kenema.

The Apostolic Pro- Nuncio to Liberia and Apostolic Vicar of Monrovia, Francis Carroll, SMA, donated to him on 21 February of the next year, the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were Thomas Joseph Brosnahan CSSp, Archbishop of Freetown and Bo, and John Kodwo Amissah, Archbishop of Cape Coast.

Pope John Paul II appointed him on September 4, 1980 Archbishop of Freetown and Bo. On 22 March 2007 Benedict XVI accepted. its age-related resignation.
