Joseph R. Cistone

Joseph Robert Cistone ( born May 18, 1949 in Philadelphia ) is an American clergyman and Bishop of Saginaw.

Life

The archbishop of Philadelphia, Cardinal John Joseph Krol, ordained him a priest on 17 May 1975.

Pope John Paul II appointed him on 8 June 2004 as Auxiliary Bishop of Philadelphia and Titular Bishop of CasaE Medianae. The archbishop of Philadelphia, Cardinal Justin Francis Rigali, donated to him on June 7 of the same year the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were the auxiliary bishops in Philadelphia Robert Patrick Maginnis and Michael Francis Burbidge.

On 20 May 2009 he was appointed Bishop of Saginaw, and introduced into the office on July 28th of the same year.
