Joseph R. Kopacz

Joseph Kopacz ( born September 16, 1950 in Dunmore, Pennsylvania) is an American clergyman and bishop of Jackson.

Life

Joseph Kopacz received on 7 May 1977, the sacrament of Holy Orders for the Diocese of Scranton.

Pope Francis appointed him on 12 December 2013 Bishop of Jackson. He received his episcopal consecration of the Archbishop of Mobile, Thomas John Rodi, on 6 February of the following year. Co-consecrators were the Bishop of Scranton, Joseph Charles Bambera, and his predecessor, Joseph Nunzio Latino.
