Juha-Pekka Haataja

Juha -Pekka Haataja ( born October 31, 1982 in Oulu) is a Finnish professional ice hockey player who is since May 2013 in Atlant Mytischtschi in the Kontinental Hockey League contract.

Career

Juha -Pekka Haataja began his career as a hockey player with Kärpät Oulu, for which he in the 2001/ 02 season, his debut in the SM- liiga was when he scored four goals in the main round in 15 games. He also came in four playoff games available for use. Previously, he had already been active in the youth level for Kärpät, with whom he was in 2004 and 2005 Finnish Champion. Furthermore, Haataja was with Kärpät 2003 runner-up and reached with his team in 2005 and 2006, the final of the IIHF European Champions Cup, in which he defeated the two Russian representatives HK Avangard Omsk and Dynamo Moscow HK with Kärpät. Before the season 2006/ 07 Haataja received a contract with Lukko Rauma, where he was active until 2009. In 2009 he moved within the SM- liiga for IFK Helsingfors, which he won in 2011 the Finnish championship.

After five years Haataja returned to the 2011/12 season to his hometown club Kärpät Oulu back.
