Julie Delpy

Julie Delpy ( born December 21, 1969 in Paris ) is a French- American actress, director and singer.

Life

Julie Delpy is the daughter of French actor pair Marie Pillet and Albert Delpy. She studied directing at the Film Academy in New York and lives in Los Angeles since 1992.

She received a first minor role in Jean -Luc Godard's film Détective 1985. Their first major starring role she played in 1987 in Bertrand Tavernier's film The Passion of Beatrice. With the highly successful in Germany film by Agnieszka Holland, Europa Europa (1990 ), in which she played the female lead role, launched her international career.
