History

Friedrich Jungheinrich based on 7 August 1953, the H. Jung, Heinrich & Co. Maschinenfabrik, Hamburg. The first foreign branch opens in 1956 in Austria. 1958 opens the corporate headquarters with factory in Hamburg -Wandsbek.

A site in today's Norderstedt 1966 and acquired gradually to 1984 shifted production from Hamburg there. The company founder Friedrich Jungheinrich dies on 28 January 1968. 1974 starts the rental and used equipment business with its own organization. In 1989 the construction of the plant Lüneburg. The first Eastern European branches will be established in the Czech Republic and Hungary in 1991.

1994 acquires Jungheinrich the Capricorn and Boss Group. The production facilities in France, the UK and Spain are closed and production transferred to Germany. 2002, the Group brands MIC, Capricorn and Boss were abandoned and since then sells equipment only under the brand name Jungheinrich.

2004 Dr. Friedrich Jungheinrich Foundation is established. Since 2004, the Jungheinrich hand pallet trucks are available from the Chinese joint venture partner Ningbo Ruyi Zhejiang of China. The company is presenting in 2005 the world's first forklift truck with rotating cab. In 2006 an assembly plant in the Chinese Qingpu was opened in Shanghai. This electric-powered pallet truck can be mounted. The fabricated low and high- lift trucks are used to supply the Jungheinrich sales in China and the Asian market. Also in 2006, took the used equipment -Zentrum Dresden for reprocessing of used equipment on the operation.

Since 2007, Jungheinrich is building its spare parts supply and after Eastern Europe.
