Jutta Müller

Jutta Müller, born Lötzsch, ( born December 13, 1928 in Chemnitz ) is a German figure skating coach and former figure skater also. Your proteges won a total of three Olympic gold medals, ten World, 18 European and 42 DDR title.

Her parents were born Marie Lötzsch Prusky and Emil Lötzsch, 1930 Sachsen- wrestling champion. Jutta Müller has a daughter, Gabriele Seyfert, from his first marriage with Wolfgang Seyfert. To date, she is married to Bringfried Müller, a former East German football player.

After the Second World War Jutta Müller was initially a teacher of German, music, numeracy and Sport, 1946, she joined the SED. In her playing days, she was cared for by Charlotte Giebelmann. In 1949, she DDR Champion in pair skating with Irene Salzmann (as a result of the war, there were no male partner ). In a single run they usually had to admit defeat Inge Vishnevsky at the GDR championships. Under the name Jutta Seyfert she reached the third place in 1953; In the same year she was runner-up in the GDR artistic roller skating.

Jutta Müller later studied at the Leipzig DHfK. Since 1955 figure skating coach at SC bismuth Karl -Marx-Stadt, she became one of the most successful in their profession in the world in the following decades. First introduced her daughter Gabriele Seyfert 1969 and 1970 to two world titles. After that, she coached Günter Zöller, Jan Hoffmann, Sonja Morgenstern, Marion Weber, Anett Pötzsch, Constanze Gensel, Katarina Witt, Simone Lang, Evelyn Grossmann and Ronny Winkler.

For her contributions to figure skating she was inducted into the Figure Skating Hall of Fame in 2004. On 12 December 2008, she was awarded honorary citizenship of the city of Chemnitz. Previously filed a lawsuit against the award had failed. A living in Vienna former Chemnitz sued for the GDR past against the award. The lawsuit was filed but rejected on 11 December 2008 as unfounded by the Administrative Court of Chemnitz.

In the GDR, Jutta Müller has received numerous awards. So it was in 1980 awarded the Patriotic Order of Merit in gold and in 1988 with the Karl -Marx- Orden. In 1984 she was awarded the honorary title of Hero of Labour.
