Kaeo (name of Māori for a growing bivalve mollusc in Kaeo River ) is a village in the Far North District in the Northland region of the North Island of New Zealand. It is located on State Highway 10 Nearest places on Highway Orotere are about 3 km southeast and Waitraruke, about 7 km to the northwest. About roads to reach the north and north-west towns Otoroa, Matauri Bay, Wainui, Mahionepuna, Tauranga Bay, Tauranga Valley and Whangaroa.
