Kaspars Dumbris

Kaspars Dumbris (born 25 February 1985 in Cesis ) is a Latvian biathlete.

Kaspars Dumbris is sports soldier and starts for an army sports club, where he is coached by Vitalis Urbanovics. He started for the first time in 2002 in Ridnaun at Junior World Championships. There he was able to achieve as well as in 2003, no significant results in Kościelisko. In 2004 he was in Haute Maurienne fifth in the sprint and sixth in the relay, one year later in Kontiolahti again tenth in the sprint. In his last Junior World Championships in Presque Isle, he reached sixth place in the relay as the best result. 2007 Dumbris first came on at Biathlon World Championships. In Antholz, he was 72nd in the sprint and twelfth in the relay.

2005 and 2006, the Latvian stepped to the Biathlon European Cup. During this time he was able to take the end of the 2004/05 season in Pokljuka first time in the Biathlon World Cup, where he was 63rd in the Sprint. Especially the end of the season 2005/ 07 he ran very successfully in the European Cup, won in a sprint Gurnigel and came three more times in the top four. Since the mid- season 2006/ 07 Dumbris launched exclusively in the World Cup. His best individual result is not yet a 48th place in the sprint, which he reached in December 2007 as well as his best season placement, a ninth place in Pokljuka.
