Kate Reed
Kate Reed (Kate Amelia Reed, born September 28, 1982 in Bristol) is a British long-distance runner.
In the European Cross Country Championships 2005 in Tilburg she came on the 16th place and won the team silver. Also silver with the team she won the following year at the European Cross Country Championships in San Giorgio su Legnano, in which she placed 18th Place.
In 2007, she was fifth at the Great Manchester Run, British champion in the 10-km road race, sixth. At the European Cross Country Championships in Toro, in which she took again with the team silver, and second in the San Silvestre Vallecana
In 2008, she finished fourth at the Great Ireland Run and came in the 10,000 - meter race of the 2008 Summer Olympic Games on rank 23
Because of ongoing problems with their Achilles tendon, she underwent an operation in February 2010 in Sweden. A Pseudomonas infection that occurred in their wake, made three more operations are required and meant that they had to stop for ten months with running.
