Katheryn Winnick

Katheryn Winnick ( born December 17, 1977 in Toronto ( Etobicoke ), Ontario ) is a Canadian actress.

Life

Winnick grew up in Etobicoke, but learned as a first language Ukrainian. She learned various martial arts and now has a black belt in Taekwondo and a third degree black belt second degree in karate. She is also a nationally recognized bodyguard. Even in high school, she appeared in theater productions and wrote his first songs. Furthermore, it was, inter alia, on the film set Jennifer Jason Leigh martial arts instruction and thus discovered her passion for acting. So she went to audition and already the second landed a role in a television series offered.

Her first major role was in 1999 in Student Bodies, where she stood, as well as in the movie When Nietzsche Wept with Jamie Elman front of the camera. Winnick took acting lessons in William Esper 's Studio in New York City before she moved to Los Angeles. In the ABC biopic about Donald Trump, she embodied Ivana Trump. For her role in the movie Daddy 's Little Girl Winnick was honored at the New York International Independent Film and Video Festival with a Short Film Award in the category Best Actress ( Best Actress).
