Katy Lied is the fourth studio album by the American band Steely Dan.
General
Steely Dan had stopped touring and was now on a pure studio band. Consequently, this was the first album on which many studio musicians played instead of a solid band.
The then 21- year-old Jeff Porcaro played drums on all songs except Any World ( That I'm Welcome To).
Title of the album
In the lyrics of Doctor Wu row Katy tried to come, I was halfway crucified and Katy read, you can see it in her eyes before. The album cover shows a grasshopper ( katydid English ).
Title list
All tracks were written by Walter Becker and Donald Fagen.
