Kerstin Wohlbold

Kerstin Wohlbold ( born January 11, 1984 in Friedrichshafen, Germany ) is a German handball player.

The age of four she started playing handball at FC Kluftern, in which she played for ten years. She then moved to TSV Fischbach, where she remained until 2000. For two years, the 1.70 m wide backcourt player then played in the Austrian National League A club SSV Dornbirn - Shors, with whom she came in 4th place in the 2001/ 02 season and participated twice at the European Cup. In 2002 she returned to Germany and joined the second division side SV Allen Bach. There, the student was for the primary and secondary school teachers in the 2005/06 season top scorer of the second handball league.

From the 2006/07 season was Wohlbold at the Bundesliga 1 FC Nuremberg under contract with the German champions they were equal in their first season. A year later, she defended the citizens of Nuremberg the championship. For the season 2009/10 she moved to first division ProVital Blomberg -Lippe. Since the season 2010/11 she plays the first division Thüringer HC. With the THC they won in 2011, 2012 and 2013 the championship as well as 2011 and 2013 the DHB Cup.

Wohlbold completed 41 games for the German national team, she had her international debut on 21 April 2011 in Völklingen against Spain. She stood in the squad of the German national team at the World Handball Championship 2011 Women in Brazil. Wohlbold was also in the World Cup 2013 at the German squad, but withdrew shortly before the tournament starts a serious knee injury which prevented participation.
