Kevin James
Kevin James ( born April 26, 1965 in Mineola, Long Iceland, New York as Kevin George Knipfing ) is an American comedian, actor, voice actor and screenwriter. He has become known primarily for his portrayal of Doug Heffernan on the sitcom The King of Queens.
Life
James was born in Mineola and grew up in Stony Brook, Long Iceland, on. There he attended Ward Melville High School, where he trained, among others, with the later professional wrestler Mick Foley in the same Ringer's team. Then James visited the Cortland University, but he left without a degree. There he played as a running back on the football team while he was studying sports management. After three years of study, he realized, however, that this was not the path he wanted to follow. Finally, he decided to attend a drama school. When he landed a role in a comedy, he enjoyed the reaction of the audience so much that he decided to join the stand-up comedy group of his brother Gary Valentine.
Over eleven years, he went to this profession and improved steadily. In the show comedy circuit he was officially introduced to Ray Romano. During this celebrated great success with his sitcom, James was discovered on Star Search. After an appearance on The Tonight Show in 1996 came his big break at the Montreal Comedy Festival. After that, he had a guest role in Romanos sitcom Everybody Loves Raymond.
He later got her own sitcom King of Queens (his brother Gary Valentine played in his cousin ). At the same time he was touring with his stand-up comedy show by the United States. In 2005 he made his film debut with the movie Hitch - The Date Doctor. Aside from acting, James works as a screenwriter, director and producer. After about nine years the sitcom The King of Queens in 2007 ended with the ninth season. The shooting of the film Blart: Mall Cop began in late March 2008, a year later, in March 2009, he entered the German cinemas. Here Kevin James served as actor, producer and screenwriter. 2011 was followed by the comedy Zookeeper.

Private life
On June 19, 2004 Kevin James married in the Catholic Church in Dana Point his longtime girlfriend Steffiana De La Cruz, who also had several guest appearances on King of Queens and a short appearance in the store cop. End of September 2005 came their first daughter into the world, mid-June 2007 another daughter was born, and in April 2011 a joint son. They live together in Manhattan Beach.
James loves to play golf and is a big fan of the football clubs in the New York Jets and the Baseball Club of New York Mets. By his own account he is such a big fan of these two sports clubs, that after the (former) Venue of the clubs, Shea Stadium, has named., Even his younger daughter
