Star Search

Star Search was a talent show, which aired from 2003 to 2004 in Germany on the Sat.1. The concept of the show is the same as the U.S. template that was broadcast in the USA from 1983 to 1995 and from 2003 to 2004.

Originating in the USA

First aired until 1995 in the USA Star Search in 1983. It is considered a primitive form of all talent shows, and helped, among others, Aaliyah, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Destiny 's Child, Kevin James, Usher and Justin Timberlake to a successful career. In contrast to usual today casting shows in addition to individual singers and music groups, comedians and dancers were sought on Star Search.

Germany

First Season (2003)

  • Second: Thomas Wohlfahrt ( Altusried in the Allgäu)
  • Eliminated in the semi-finals: Michael Wurst ( against Martin Kesici )

Second Season (2004)

In 2004, Star Search in the second season. The jury was again from the pop singer Jeanette Biedermann ( in the finals due to illness by Martin Kesici, a winner of the first season, represented ), the moderator Hugo Egon Balder, the Model Alexandra Kamp (replaced by the model Eva Padberg during the season ) and a in each show changing guest judge.
