Geography

Geographical location

The river rises in Fehla Burladingen and performs Gauselfingen in eastern direction towards the Lauchert. The Lauchert in turn arises from the Melchingen district and flows through Stetten under federal and Hörschwag towards the Danube.

Boroughs

The city Burladingen consists of the ten districts Burladingen, Gauselfingen, Hausen in Killertal, Hörschwag, killer, Melchingen, Ringingen, Salmendingen, Starzeln and Stetten, which are physically identical to the former municipalities of the same name. Its official designation has been made in the form " Burladingen ... ". The municipal council is elected according to the system of loggerhead part of local choice, accordingly, the region is divided into electoral districts, which are identical to the districts and are designated according to the Baden-Württemberg municipal code as residential districts. With the exception of the district Burladingen villages are established in terms of the Baden-Württemberg municipal code, each with its own mayor and Ortschaftsrat as its chairman in the districts. For district Burladingen include the city Burladingen, the hamlet Hermann village and the mountain farms, kitchen, mill and brick cottage. For Stetten district includes the village of Stetten, the house Sagmuhle and Talhof. Among the districts Gauselfingen, Hörschwag, killer, Melchingen, Salmendingen and Starzeln each include only the villages of the same name.

In the city of Burladingen are several Outbound, now-defunct villages. In the district Burladingen probably below Burladingen the deserted village is Mayingen. The town was first mentioned in 772 as Megingen and is probably gone off in the 15th century. In Ringingen district probably near Ringingen was the place Buringen, the 772 ( in Burichinger marca ), 773 ( ecclisia ... in pace ... Burichingas ), 777 ( in Buringen ) and was mentioned before 799 ( Burch rings on the archipelago ). In Salmendingen district that was mentioned as a manor in the 12th century Horwe, but the location of this place is not safe. In the district Starzeln about 800 m west of the town was the St. John branch Jungental, it was broken in the 18th century. In Stetten district was the 772 mentioned as Merioldingen village Mertingen. Even in the 15th century, a court Mertingen is mentioned, who may have been a remnant of the village. Mertingen is now a corridor towards Melchingen.

History

The settlement of the district Burladingen began during the Bronze and Iron Ages. The Celts roamed in search of food, the Fehlatal.

When the Romans moved the Danube border of the province of Raetia to the north, a fort was around 80 AD in today's Won Kleineschle created (see fort Burladingen ) north of this camp is a Roman settlement ( vicus ) developed. This civil settlement took place in the time of the Alemanni storms around the year 260 to an end and was abandoned. Originally designated as protected excavation surface settlement was converted by the city council Burladingen after negotiations with the Tübingen Regional Council in the spring of 2012 in a commercial area. The Vicus is so soft a western extension of the commercial area Kleineschle.

The Alemanni Burladingen probably originated in the 4th century to the east of this pre-existing Roman settlement. Burladingen was first mentioned in the year 772 Since 1300 the ownership changed hands several times between the Hohenzollern and the Wurttembergers. From 1473 Burladingen was finally in possession of the county Zollern- Hechingen, Hohenzollern - Hechingen of the later Principality. The market rights was the place in the 15th century. The resulting 1544 Official Burladingen with communities Burladingen, Gauselfingen and Hörschwag was in 1849 as part of the reorganization of the administration through Holstein to the appropriation by Prussia incorporated into the upper office Hechingen.

While Hermann village ( with the Hofgut kitchen) politically belonged to Burladingen been around since the 1930s, the rest of the city came only in the course of municipal reform (1975 ) in Baden- Württemberg at that community Burladingen. Because of its growing importance Burladingen was levied with effect from July 1, 1978 by the then Prime Minister Hans Filbinger to the city.

In the course of municipal reform in Baden- Württemberg, the following formerly independent municipalities were amalgamated with Burladingen:

Mayor

The mayor is elected for a term of eight years. The current term of office of Harry Ebert ends in May 2015.

Parish council

The City Council of the City Burladingen consists of 24 members. After the municipal election held on 7 June 2009, is the distribution of seats:

Spatial Planning

Burladingen belongs together with Hechingen, Haigerloch Bisingen, Rangendingen Grosselfingen and Jungingen as part of the Zoning and Planning Neckar-Alb region to the central region Hechingen.

Culture and sights

The district Salmendingen is located on the Hohenzollern street. The three Burladingen Districts Melchingen, Stetten under federal and Hörschwag are part of the Holiday Region "Valley of Lauchert ".
