Kevin Vann

Kevin William Vann ( born May 10, 1951 in Springfield, Illinois, USA) is Bishop of Orange in California.

Life

The Bishop of Springfield in Illinois, Joseph Alphonse McNicholas, consecrated him on 30 May 1981 for the priest.

Pope Benedict XVI. appointed him on 17 May 2005 on the Coadjutor Bishop of Fort Worth. He received his episcopal consecration of the Archbishop of San Antonio, José Horacio Gómez, on July 13 of the same year; Co-consecrators were the Archbishop of Saint Louis, Raymond Leo Burke, and George Joseph Lucas, Bishop of Springfield in Illinois. After the death of Joseph Patrick Delaney he followed this up on 12 July 2005 by the ministry of the Bishop of Fort Worth.

On September 21, 2012, he was named Benedict XVI. Bishop of Orange in California. The solemn inauguration ( enthronement ) took place on 10 December of the same year.

He is a Grand Officer of the Order of the Holy grave in Jerusalem.
