Kip Miller

Kip Charles Miller ( born June 11, 1969 in Lansing, Michigan ) is a retired American professional ice hockey player. During his career he played for the Quebec Nordiques, Minnesota North Stars, San Jose Sharks, New York Islanders, Chicago Blackhawks, Pittsburgh Penguins, Mighty Ducks of Anaheim and Washington Capitals in the National Hockey League. His brothers Kevin and Kelly were also active in the NHL, so are his cousins ​​Ryan and Drew.

Career

Miller played for four years from 1984 to 1988, partially with his brother, Kevin, at Michigan State University, Central Collegiate Hockey Association of the National Collegiate Athletic Association. After two streaky, but constant seasons, he could almost double its yield point in his third year of college and was elected to two All-Star teams. His fourth and last year of college, he finished with 101 points in only 45 games, which he has received numerous awards, including winning the Hobey Baker Memorial Award for the best college player of the year.

After he had already been selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 1987 in the seventh round of the 72nd Quebec Nordiques, it took this for season 1990/91 under contract. In his first two seasons as a professional of Americans came only sporadically in the NHL for use, but was one of the best points scorer in the farm team the Nordiques from the American Hockey League. In March 1992, he was then transferred to the Minnesota North Stars, where he was but mostly used in the farm team in the International Hockey League. Internationally

At international level, Miller represented the U.S. national team at the World Youth Championship in 1988 and the Senior World Championships in 1990.
