Kirsty Wade

Kirsty Wade ( Kirsty Margaret Wade, nee McDermott; born August 6, 1962 in Girvan ) is a former British middle distance runner.

In 1981, she was at the European Indoor Championships in Grenoble Fourth than 800 m. The following year she won starting for Wales at the Commonwealth Games in 1982 in Brisbane over the same distance.

Also over 800 m in 1985 she was sixth at the European Indoor Championships in Piraeus and 1986 fourth in the European Indoor Championships in Madrid. At the Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh, she defended her title over 800 meters and triumphed over 1500 m. At the European Athletics Championships in Stuttgart, followed by a seventh place above 1,500 meters.

In 1987, she was more than 1500 m at the World Indoor Championships Fifth in Indianapolis and sixth in the World Athletics Championships in Rome. At the Olympic Games in Seoul in 1988, it reached more than 800 m the semi-finals and was eliminated more than 1500 m from the inlet port.
