Kleinbösingen is a municipality in the lake district (French: District du Lac ) of the canton of Fribourg in Switzerland. The French name of the municipality is Petit- Basens.

Geography

Kleinbösingen is located on 509 m above sea level. M., 3 km west-southwest of Laupen and 10 km north- northeast of the capital of the canton of Fribourg (air line). The scattered village extends slightly increased on the western edge of the valley of the Sarine, Fribourg plateau in the north.

The area of ​​3.0 km ² large municipality area includes a portion of the over-molded by glacial Rhône glacier Molassehöhen between Murten and the Saanen valley. The south-eastern boundary runs along the channelized and straightened river course of the Sarine. In the south part of a part of the dam of the Schiffenen and a very small portion of the lake to Kleinbösingen. From the Sarine, the communal land extends westward over an up to 500 m wide, flat Talniederung ( with the nature reserve Auried ) on the adjacent Molassehöhen with the plateaus of Grueneburg and field mats. The northern boundary is formed by the edge of the forest to the Bernese Röseliwald. On the miller timber is 600 m above sea level. M. reached the highest point of Kleinbösingen. From the municipality surface 1997 7 % was attributable to settlements, 21 % of forest and shrubs, 68 % to agriculture and slightly more than 4% was unproductive land.

To Kleinbösingen include the settlements Grueneburg ( 562 m above sea level. M. ) on a plateau from Southeast foot of the forest height of Müller wood and Riedacher (540 m above sea level. M. ) on the western slope of the valley of the Sarine as well as some individual farms. Neighboring communities of Kleinbösingen are Gurmels, Duedingen and Boesingen in the Canton of Fribourg and Kriechenwil in Canton Bern.

Population

With 595 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) Kleinbösingen one of the smaller municipalities of the canton of Fribourg. Of the residents 94.9 % are German, 3.0 % French-speaking and 1.2 % speak Italian ( as of 2000). The population of Kleinbösingen amounted in 1900 to 256 inhabitants. During the 20th century, the population fluctuated in the range of 230-270 inhabitants. Only since 1980 (231 inhabitants) a significant population growth with a doubling of the population was recorded within 20 years.

Economy

Kleinbösingen was until the second half of the 20th century, mainly coined by farming village. Even today, the farming, fruit growing and cattle breeding have a certain role in the occupational structure of the population. More jobs are in small local manufacturing and services available, including an operating metal construction, at the electricity works of the dam Schiffenen, in construction, in carpentry, as well as a nationally active IT-/CE-Internetversandhandel. By the end of the 19th century sandstone was mined in quarries below the dam of today Schiffenen. Former gravel pits in the Saanen valley were renatured and today form the nature reserve Auried. In recent decades, the village has developed into a residential community. Many workers are therefore commuters who work mainly in the regions Laupen and Fribourg and Bern.

Traffic

The community is located off the major thoroughfares on a road from Duedingen to Murten. The nearest links to the motorway A12 ( Bern -Vevey ) is located in Duedingen, around 7 km from the town center. By Postbus course leading from Duedingen to Kerzers, Kleinbösingen is connected to the public transport network.

With the timetable change in December 2008 Kleinbösingen is connected by a bus service every half hour with Duedingen and Gurmels. From Gurmels lines also lead to Courtepin, Murten and Kerzers.

History

Kleinbösingen was in the Middle Ages part of the property of the Counts of Thierstein. 1442 the village came by purchase under the rule of Freiburg and then became part of the Old Landscape ( Spitalpanner ). After the collapse of the ancien régime (1798 ) was one Kleinbösingen during the Helvetic Republic and the subsequent time to the district of Freiburg and from 1831 to the German district of Freiburg, before it was incorporated in 1848 with the new cantonal constitution in the lake district. From 1883 to 1982 Kleinbösingen possessed a common management with the lying beyond the Röseliwaldes community Liebistorf (now incorporated by Gurmels ).

At the beginning of the 20th century there were several projects to connect most villages in the canton of Fribourg with railways. Among other things, there was a project that did not make it, however, about the idea stage addition, a railway line Kerzers - create Überstorf - Gurmels. This rail line would run at Kleinbösingen over a bridge and would thus Kleinbösingen connected to the railway.

Nature reserve

Sports
