Kleine Kinzig

BW

The Kleine Kinzig, also called Reinerzau, is a river in the Black Forest, between Freudenstadt and the Kinzig valley.

It rises south-west of Freudenstadt in the Black Forest and fills after a few miles the dam Kleine Kinzig.

Subsequently, the Kleine Kinzig crosses the elongated village Reinerzau, a district of Alpirsbach, and then continues to flow south through the taverns Zeller district Kaltenbrunn - Vortal before it finally flows into the center of Schenkenzell in the Kinzig.

Contrary to its name, the river is not less than the east almost parallel Kinzig. The water levels of both rivers is not very different at their confluence, and the Kleine Kinzig is approximately 20 km 3 km longer.
