Geography

Kleinpaschleben between Bernburg (Saale ) and Köthen (Anhalt) on the edge of the Middle Elbe Biosphere Reserve. For the former municipality Kleinpaschleben belonged to the district Mölz.

History

Kleinpaschleben was first mentioned in 1179 and earlier written mostly small Großpaschleben. 1682 raged here the plague and in the same time was a " great fire " in the place was. The church was originally located just outside the village center Scharwegk, to built a new church in the village in 1781 and was inaugurated in the presence of Prince Karl Georg Lebrecht of Anhalt- Köthen.

In Kleinpaschleben there was a Bieler'sches Freigut and in the early 19th century, a soap factory ( Grünsiederei ). Around the year 1830 were counted 73 houses with 467 inhabitants.

On January 1, 2010, the formerly independent communities Kleinpaschleben, Chörau, Diebzig, Dornbock, Drosa, Elsnigk, Großpaschleben, Zabitz, Libbesdorf, Micheln, Osternienburg, Reppichau, Trinum and Wulfen merged to form a unified community Osternienburger country together. At the same time the management of Community Osternienburg, which included these communities was dissolved.
