Geography
Diebzig, a place village, located between Dessau and calbe (Saale ) in the Biosphere Reserve Middle Elbe. In the north, the dove demarcates the built-up urban area of large-scale oak forests.
History
On January 1, 2010, the formerly independent communities Diebzig, Chörau, Zabitz, Dornbock, Drosa, Elsnigk, Großpaschleben, Kleinpaschleben, Libbesdorf, Micheln, Osternienburg, Reppichau, Trinum and Wulfen merged to form a unified community Osternienburger country together. At the same time the management of Community Osternienburg, which included these communities was dissolved.
