Knut Holst

Knut Andreassen Holst ( born December 3, 1884 in Hokksund; † 4 February 1977 Øvre Eiker ) was a Norwegian skier, who competed mainly in the Nordic combined.

Career

Holst, who started in Buskerud for the Ski -og Ballklubben Eiker, won the first Norwegian Championship in 1909 in Lillehammer first Norwegian league title in the combination at all. Also in the Norwegian Championship 1911 in Hønefoss won Holst in individual combination of the title before Otto Tangen and Johan Kristoffersen. A short time later, he got together with Tangen awarded the Holmenkollen medal.

Holst was married and had a son. He died at the age of 92 years in Øvre Eiker and was buried there on 10 February 1977.
