Kobeřice u Brna

Kobeřice u Brna, until 1995 Kobeřice ( German Kobe Ritz, formerly Koberzitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located seven kilometers south of Slavkov and belongs to Okres Vyškov.

Geography

Kobeřice u Brna is located in the northern foothills of Ždánický on the edge of the Natural Park. The village is situated at the western foot of the Bily Vlk (Wolf Mountain, 381 m ) in the source basin of the creek Kobeřický creek. To the south rises the Písečná ( 374 m) and Kopec in the northwest of Dřínový. A mile east leads the state road I/54 of Slavkov over after Kyjov. In the west and northwest, the village is surrounded by vineyards. To the southeast lies the medieval deserted village Mezilesice and the valley of the brook brook Milešovický a cascade of five storage ponds; at both lower and largest, the Horáček and Nový rybnik a holiday cottage settlement was created. North of the village is a sports airfield.

History

Archaeological finds in the municipality evidence of a settlement of the area since the early days. Special merit in exploring the early history of the place to the Middle Ages acquired Alois Prochazka, who worked as a teacher in Kobeřice 1919-1924.

The first written mention of the village and the church took place in 1283rd older is the detectable since 1210 Mezilesice village. This village was located in a small valley at the northeastern foot of Písečná in Steinitzer forest and went out in the Middle Ages. In Kobeřice were two festivals. After the abolition of patrimonial Kobeřice / Koberzitz formed in 1850 a municipality in the district team Wischau. Between 1949 and 1960 the village belonged to Okres Austerlitz and came back after his suspension for Okres Vyškov. In 1986 Kobeřice was incorporated into Slavkov.
