Jorge Resurrección Merodio, known as Koke ( born January 8, 1992, Madrid ) is a Spanish footballer who is currently under contract with Atlético Madrid. His preferred position is attacking midfield.

Career

Association

Koke started his career with Atlético Madrid, for its youth teams he played from 2000. From the 2008/ 09 season, he was part of the squad of the second team, with whom he played in the Segunda División B. On September 19, 2009, he came to his first appearance in La Liga when he came off the bench in the match against FC Barcelona. He scored his first goal 26 February 2011 on the Game against FC Sevilla. With Atlético Madrid, he was 2012 Europa League winners and Super Cup winner.

National

Koke came for several Spanish junior national teams to use and took part in the U-17 FIFA World Cup 2009 U-19 Football Championship in 2010 and the U-20 World Cup 2011. In the fall of 2012, he was a participant in the Olympic Games, in which Spain was eliminated in the first round.
