Konrad Jarnot

Konrad Jarnot (born 1972 in Brighton, UK ) is a British singer of the vocal range baritone.

He studied singing with Rudolf Piernay at the Guildhall in London, where he was awarded the gold medal, and Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau. After his first prize at the ARD Music Competition in Munich in 2000, the music world was aware of the young baritone.

Invitations lead him, among others, the Royal Opera House Covent Garden London, Lincoln Center New York, Teatro Real Madrid, Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Théâtre des Champs- Elysées in Paris, the Vienna Konzerthaus, International Forum Tokyo, Gewandhaus Leipzig, Festspielhaus Baden -Baden, Salzburg, Tonhalle Zurich, Konzerthaus Berlin, Philharmonie Cologne and Munich.

As an opera singer sang Jarnot been following lots: Amfortas ( Parsifal Act 3, concert: Monte- Carlo, Frankfurt), Drum Major ( Wozzeck ( Gurlitt ): Madrid), Guglielmo ( Così fan tutte: Savonlinna ), Onegin ( Eugene Onegin: Baden- Baden) and Harlequin ( Ariadne auf Naxos: Garmisch ).

As a singer of songs, he is active with the pianist Helmut German, Hartmut Holl, Irwin Gage and Alexander Schmalcz and on holiday in recording studios. CDs are in Orfeo, Oehms Classics and Harmonia Mundi.

In addition to his singing activities Jarnot became a professor of singing at the Robert - Schumann-Hochschule in Dusseldorf in 2009.
