Kosierzewo

Kosierzewo ( Kusserow German ) is a village in the Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship and is part of the rural community Malechowo ( Malchow ) in the powiat Slawienski ( Schlawe ).

Geographical location

Kosierzewo located in Pomerania, eight kilometers south of the county town Sławno. Neighboring towns of Kosierzewo are: the south and west Ostrowiec ( Wusterwitz ) with Baniewo ( Banow ), in the north Kwasowo ( Quatzow ) and in the east - beyond the Rakówka ( Krebsbach ) - Gwiazdowo ( Quäsdow ) and Janiewice ( Jannewitz ).

Kosierzewo located in the glacial valley of the Rakówka, about 65 meters above sea level. The highest elevation in the field mark is the - formerly known as - Hahnenkräh on the border with Kwasowo 82 meters.

History

The first written mention of the village was carried out in 1230 as the property of the Order of St. John located in Schlawe. In 1273 the said time after Jocobus church was doped to Schlawe from Camminer bishop Hermann von Gleichen with eleven villages, including Kusserow. The patronage of this church was the Order of St. John. In the 15th century the Knights sold it to other property in Central Pomerania.

1472 Kusserow is one of the villages that Peter von Glasenapp the Pomeranian Duke Erich II exchanged for town and country Pollnow. Between 1756 and 1776, the called of Ramel as the owner. 1776 then Kusserow belongs to the Earl of Münchow, which owns also the neighboring village Quatzow ( Kwasowo ) was located. 1797 then takes over Ernst Heinrich Bogislaw von Bonin from the house noseband the village, whose descendants to pass on the estate in 1881 to the family of Below to Saleske whose grandson Hans -Joachim Görlitz - if only for a few months - was the last laird on Kusserow.

In 1818 lived in Kusserow 229 inhabitants. Their number increased to 1905 to 394 in 1939 and was even 425

Before 1945, Kusserow was part of the official and the civil registry district Quatzow and district court in the district area Schlawe Schlawe i Pom. in the administrative region of Pomerania Pomerania.

On February 26, 1945 the first troops of the Red Army reached the Grabow ( Grabowa ). Many residents went on the run. On March 4, the Kusserower trek left the village to the east and came to Gdansk. Residents were forced to return home but again to their village, where they had to work under Russian first, then under Polish administration in the state farm.

After the Second World War Kusserow as quite Pomerania was placed under Polish administration. The Poles gave the village its name Kosierzewo.

The village is now a part of Gmina Malechowo in powiat Slawienski the West Pomeranian Voivodeship ( to 1998 Koszalin Voivodeship ). 2012 lived about 263 people in Kosierzewo.

Church

Parish

Before 1945 the inhabitants of Kusserow were almost exclusively Protestant denomination. The village formed its own parish, but in the composite of the parish Quatzow ( Kwasowo ) stood. It belonged to the Church of the Church Province of Pomerania Schlawe the Evangelical Church of the Old Prussian Union.

1940 belonged to Kusserower church 400 church members. The church patronage took until her death in 1944 landowner Marie Görlitz born von Below true; after her - as the last lord of the manor on Kusserow - for a few months, her son Hans -Joachim Görlitz. Last German minister was Pastor Walter Paul. Since 1945, live in predominantly Catholic Kosierzewo inhabitants. Today the village is the parish church service station Ostrowiec ( Wusterwitz ) in the deanery in the Diocese of Koszalin - Kolobrzeg Sławno of the Catholic Church in Poland.

Village Church

The Kusserower church is a simple, erected of brick and fieldstone building with a west tower. In the west side of mill stones are immured. The Year of God's home is not known.

The altar was before 1945 a representation of the crucifixion of Jesus and the coat of arms of Ernst Ramell (2nd half of the 17th century ). The pulpit was supported by a Peter figure, and above the parapet figures of the four evangelists were installed. A baptismal font dated back to 1692nd

School

The two-class school with a cultivation of 1930 dwellings with two teachers stood at the south end of the village. The last headmaster were the teachers Jagsch, Gliewe, Quade and Hintze.

Traffic

The village is in the province road 205 Sławno - Polanów ( Pollnow ) Bobolice ( Bublitz ) attached. By 1945, the place was a railway station on the narrow-gauge railway track Schlawe - Pollnow - Sydow Schlawer the tracks.
