Laski, SÅ‚awno County

Laski ( German Latzig, Schlawe / Pomerania ) is a village in the Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship. It belongs to the rural community Malechowo ( Malchow ) in the powiat Slawienski ( Schlawe ).

Geographical Location

Laski is on a side street that Sławno, Bobrowiczki ( New Bewersdorf ) Żegocino ( blessing Thin), Lejkowo ( Leikow ) Jacinki ( Jatzingen ) and Polanów ( Pollnow ) together. In the village the road from Krąg ( Krag ) crosses after Sowno (Alt Zowen ).

By 1945 Latzig was a railway station on the narrow-gauge railway track of Schlawer orbits of Schlawe after Pollnow.

Neighboring towns of Laski are in the northwest Sierakowo Sławieńskie ( Zirchow ), in the north Borkowo ( Borkow ), to the east Bożenice ( Bosens ), in the south Bukowo ( Buckow, until 1937 Wendish Buckow ) with Domachowo (Hans Hagen) and the Southwest Sowno.

Place name

The place name Latzig (also Latzke, Laatzke ) came in Pomerania before 1945 five times before. The Polish name Laski occurs even for 25 towns in Poland.

History

Prehistoric finds point to an early settlement of the later Gutsdorfes Latzig. In 1378 Latzke was in the possession of those of Natzmer. In 1500, Adam is called by Podewils as a feudal lord, and after him joined the feud to the families of Ramel, von Koller, of Münchow, von Below, again by Ramel and von Kleist. After 1717 Latzig is entirely owned by the family of Podewils - Krag, which it sells in 1828. After several other owners, the good comes by marriage to Max Glagau, whose daughter Ellen Ermekeil ( divorced from Xylander ) the last owner before 1945. The farm with farm buildings, distillery, dairy, manor park and is located on the southeast Deputantenwohnhäusern - northwest trending village street.

In 1818 lived in Latzig 89 inhabitants. The number increased in 1867 to 215 in 1925 to 283, and lived in the year 1939, 250 people.

Before 1945 Latzig belonged with Old Zowen (now Polish: Sowno ) Peace Village ( Powidz ), New Zowen ( Sowinko ) for District Zowen district Schlawe i Pom. in the province of Pomerania Region of Pomerania. Last Mayor of Latzig was Willi Burzlaff. Also civilly Latzig was associated with (Alt ) Zowen. The local court was in Zanow ( Sianów ).

On 27 and 28 February 1945, the villagers of Latzig fled in three treks in front of the approaching Soviet troops. However, they fell on the road of the Red Army directly into the hands and were plundered, tortured and driven back to Latzig. Here the occupied Soviet Army on 1 March 1945, the village, while the inhabitants only arrived back on March 13 in the burned village. 1946 had left home to all residents. Latzig was a district of Gmina Malechowo in powiat Slawienski in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship ( to 1998 Koszalin Voivodeship ) and polish under the name Laski.

Miłobądz ( Louisenhof )

Prior to 1945, belonged to the municipality Latzig the Vorwerk Louisenhof (Polish: Miłobądz ). It was a Gutsvorwerk, lying two miles to the west of the estate on a dirt road. Once upon a sheep, it no longer exists today.

Church

Before 1945 was almost the entire population of Latzig Protestant denomination. However, the village had no own church, but belonged to the church in Zirchow (now Polish: Sierakowo Sławieńskie ), which - was a branch church in the parish Krag ( Krag ) - as well as in Kummerow ( Komorowo ). It belonged to the church Schlawe ( Sławno ) in the ecclesiastical province of the Church of the Old Prussian Pomerania Union. Last German minister was Pastor William Vedder. A church patronage was not in Latzig.

Today the inhabitants of Laski mainly belong to the Catholic Church in Poland. God's house is - as before 1945 - the Church in Sierakowo Sławieńskie, the (small Soltikow ) in the Office of the Dean Sławno ( Schlawe ) is ( Koszalin - Kolobrzeg ) Today, however, the parish in the Diocese of Koszalin - Kolobrzeg Sulechówko. Protestant villagers of the Evangelical-Augsburg ( Lutheran ) supervised by the parish office in Koszalin ( Koszalin ) in the Diocese of Pomerania - Greater Poland Church in Poland.

School

The school building in 1834 was close to the newly built farmhouse in Latzig. Last German teacher was Hugo Frenk.
