Kozárov

Kozárov ( German Kosarow, formerly Kozarow ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located nine kilometers south-west of Kunstat and belongs to Okres Blansko.

Geography

Kozárov located in the Sýkořská pahorkatina, a subunit of Nedvědička highlands in the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands. The village is situated at the western foot of Babylon ( 656 m) in the source basin of the creek Kozárovský creek. By Kozárov the boundary between the natural parks Svratecká hornatina and Lysicko runs. To the north rise the Kozárovský Kopec (664 m) and Láze ( 642 m), the South East Kravi hlava ( 566 m) and west of the Sýkoř (702 m).

Neighboring towns are Bedřichov in the north, Kunčina Ves in the northeast, Dlouhá Lhota, Brťov - Jeneč and Zhoř the southeast, Rašov in the south, Chrastová, Strhaře and Kopaniny in the southwest, Žleby in the west and Osiky and Brumov in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of the reign Lomnice related and consists of 16 houses village Kozarow took place in 1601, when Charles the Elder of Zerotein sold the rule for 20,000 florins to Ulrich von Kaunitz. During the Thirty Years' War of deserted place and in the 1660s only nine houses was inhabited in Kozarow. The floors were not very profitable, so Kozarow remained a poor village. In the course of corvee an inn was built in the place that received the gift right for Lomnitzer beer. In 1785, a farmer was brought to the inn for bad performance of the Fronleistungen flaunt and punished with the transfer of half of his basic and ground at the tavern. 1793 was the village of 20 houses.

After the abolition of patrimonial Kozárov formed with the districts Strhaře and Žleby 1850 a municipality in the Brno district administration and the district court Tischnowitz. In 1854, 207 people lived in the village. Since the mid-19th century the weaving house won as a sideline increasingly important. In the fields, flax was grown and in Kozárov were four Flachsdarren. In addition, some of the inhabitants earned their living as a lumberjack in the grand forests. 1880 Strhaře and Žleby broke off and formed their own community. Between 1880 and 1910 the main weaving reached its peak, in each house of Kozárov at least one loom was then operated. Since 1896, the village belonged to the newly formed district Tischnowitz. In 1900, 189 people lived in the 36 houses of Kozárov. A storm with torrential rain caused considerable damage on May 27, 1922. Through the village up to 2 m wide and rinsing the wells and the pond was buried with sand and rocks. In the parcelling of belonging to the reign Lysice Court Kunčina Ves received in 1924 the course of the land reform also residents of Kozárov assigned land. In the following year the Kozárovský creek in the village was regulated. Between 1927 and 1931 by the building of a road to Kozárov. On January 1, 1928, formed a volunteer fire department. During the German occupation some residents of Kozárov support the active partisans in the area. On 2 April 1945, the village was surrounded by the Gestapo after the guerrilla hideout had become known, and abducted the family of five Vejrosta and two other residents after Letovice. Marie, Josefa and Joseph Vejrosta were tortured to death on April 24. 1959, Kozárov 180 inhabitants. After the dissolution of Okres Tišnov Kozárov came with the beginning of 1961 to Okres Blansko. On 1 July 1980, the annexation took place after Lysice. In 1988, the population had declined to 130. Since 1990, the community is Kozárov again. In 2000, the village consisted of 52 houses and had 114 inhabitants.
