Krattigen

Krattigen is a municipality in the administrative district of Frutigen- Niedersimmental of the canton of Bern in Switzerland.

Under the name Krattigen exists alongside the community of a civic community. The Reformed congregation is led along with Spiez, but both have their own church.

The municipal area includes the village and the hamlet Krattigen Stuhlegg and Örtlimatt and many individual farms.

Geography

The municipality is located on a hill above Lake Thun. Krattigen is 750 meters above sea level. M. on a Gipsmoräne. In the southeast the church rises up to the top of the Greberegg at up to an altitude of 1595 meters. The neighboring communities of east clockwise are starting Leissigen, Spiez Spiez and as well on the other side of Lake Thun Sigriswil and Beatenberg.

History

The village Krattigen was first mentioned on January 4, 1297, when it was owned by the noble von Eschenbach, but was actually still in the hands of the Habsburgs. In 1483 the rule Krattigen went all over the bourgeoisified in Bern of Scharnachtal. In 1513 all Twing, spell and the manorial rights to Krattigen went for the purchase price of 1400 pounds over the city of Bern and so was the Kastlanei Frutigen. In Krattiger freedom letter dated May 6, 1476 the court Krattigen a land law was given, which still remained in force, as Bern became the immediate dominion Lord. This land rights remained even until the French Revolution and was formally declared only by the Grand Council Decision of 2 December 1840, the extinct

Policy

Community and council president is Christian Kummer (2011 ).

The voting shares of the parties at the national elections of 2011 were: BDP 33.3 %, SVP 30.8 %, SP 11.2 %, 6.6 % GPS, EPP 4.4 %, FDP 4.2 %, EDU 3.2 %, 2.4 % glp, CVP 1.4 %.

Economy

Next to the church there in Krattigen six post bus stops, a Raiffeisen bank, a bakery with a well-stocked range of food products and fresh produce, and two hotels.

Although the railway line Spiez -Interlaken runs along the lake, there is no train station.
