Królewice, West Pomeranian Voivodeship

Królewice ( German Krolowstrand ) was a village in Eastern Pomerania, which the Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship in the field of rural community Postomino ( Pustamin ) in a circle Sławno ( Schlawe ) belonged since about 1957 and no longer exists.

Geographical location

Królewice lay on the east bank of the Jezioro Wicko ( Vietzker lake ) and only two kilometers from the Baltic Sea coast. Only an insignificant side street of Górsko (north of Sławno ) happened on their way to Wicko Morskie ( Vietzkerstrand ) the former site of the old farming and fishing village.

Place name

The place name to describe the Good Krolow ( Królewo ) belonging stretch of beach on Vietzker Lake, formerly called Krolowscher beach.

History

Krolowstrand originally belonged to the fief Krolow. In 1784, only a few fishermen's cottages were called. The place grew especially in the 19th century up to be its actual size and was dissolved in 1928 during the Prussian reforms of the previous Gutsbezirk Krolow and raised into an independent country community.

As such Krolowstrand belonged until 1945 with the communities Görshagen ( Górsko ) Krolow ( Królewo ) Marsow ( Marszewo ) Schlackow ( Złakowo ) and Vietzkerstrand ( Wicko Morskie ) for District Schlackow district Schlawe i Pom. in the district of the Prussian province of Pomerania Pomerania. Even in a civil ceremony, the six communities were oriented according to Schlackow, while the district court was in Schlawe.

In March 1945 the 300 inhabitants Krolowstrand was occupied by the Red Army. 1947, the last German inhabitants were expelled. The place was given the Polish name Królewice. The village site is now part of Gmina Postomino in powiat Slawienski the West Pomeranian Voivodeship ( previously to 1998 Voivodeship Stolp ).

Since about 1957 Królewice no longer exists as a village. The buildings were demolished because the former German military training camp for the Polish military was expanded.

Church

The inhabitants of Krolowstrand before 1945 were all Protestant. Until 1870/80 the church was in Krolow ( Królewo ) the house of God and the people of Krolostrand. After the demolition was for them the village church in Lanzig ( Łącko ) "their" church. The parish Lanzig belonged to the church district Rügenwalde in the ecclesiastical province of the Church of the Old Prussian Pomerania Union.

School

The community Krolowstrand possessed before 1945 have their own school. She was einklassig for up to 60 children. The school building dated back to 1884.
